More than 4 months old already!

Oh miss Riley, how fast time is passing and how big you are getting!!!!!! At this point you are holding your neck up, giggling at bubba and shadow, eating solid foods, and sleeping long stretches at night. (And for that last one your mama says thank you!). Your personality gets bigger by the day. You bring so much light to my life. I don't know what my purpose was before you got here. Your lil face makes me so happy. Being your mama is the best job I could ever ask for.

This morning I rubbed your ears while your mama changed your diaper. You got very still, stretched your legs and just relaxed. You are so adorable. :)

Mamas first post

     As much as I LOVE showing off my daughter more than anything in this world, I agreed to this blog as a brilliant idea for Riley to be able to look back at..... More like your modern day baby book. So my first entry is to the biggest love of my life in her tiny but mighty package.

     Hello beautiful. I can't believe you are less than a day away from being three weeks old. Little girl..... You are my heart. You came into this world and busted every bit of love I possess clear out of me. I will always be able to look back on these days and remember you and your many different sleepy faces. I will remember how big and blue your eyes are for your little face. I will remember the first time you peed on me.lol. THANK YOU for choosing me my little human being. I thank the universe EVERY single day you did. Your mama loves you more than I can come close to expressing. But I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much I do.

September 12, 2014. 20 days old...... 19 and 3/4 inches..... 5 lbs. 15 oz. After keeping Mama awake all night, out like a light. A perfectly bright, and amazing light.

Wow, you have an awesome mom. She will go to the ends of the earth for you. Even when you are fussy, she smiles and helps you find your way back to content. I'm so glad that you two found each other and that I get to see such a beautiful and pure love between you two. 

Day 14

Day 13

Well, 13 is my favorite number so it seems fitting that this morning I thought that making a Miss  Riley blog would be a good idea.

This morning I thought, while showering, "Day 13. Thank god for the swing." Mama and I were a bit sleep deprived and the swing gave Mama and Graunty some much needed sleep.

Miss Riley, I can't wait for you to read how precious and how welcome you are in your home. :)
